Win a trade signed paperback.

Welcome to the world of John McIlveen (author of HANNAHWHERE – winner of the 2016 Drunken Druid Award and nominated for the 2016 Bram Stoker Award). Enter, please, but be warned… here, in these 24 tales that blur the lines of horror, vengeance, humor, sorrow, and humanity, you will encounter broken people with dark secrets and darker desires. Meet Justice, whose art exposes your soul. Ride along as a man’s search for his daughter reveals that sometimes the best way to heal old scars is to make new ones. Go on vacation with the Seth’s, who are forced to play a game that is every parent’s nightmare. Play a Sunday game of softball with the most unusual team imaginable. You will experience the foulest parts of humanity, as well as the funniest and sweetest. Some of these stories will make you laugh, some will anger or shock you, but all of them will affect you. You will love, hate, and sympathize with the characters, possibly at the same time.

“A disturbing and thoroughly entertaining creepfest. So much wicked fun.” — By Jonathan Maberry -NY Times Bestseller

“John’s not afraid… he pulls no punches.”
— New York Times bestselling author Christopher Golden

“The writing is so strong, and the stories so expertly crafted, that their unflinching nature is all the more visceral. INFLICTIONS is as fine a collection of stories as I’ve read in the past ten years.” — Rio Youers author of WESTLAKE SOUL.

Max Bowen interviews me on WEMF’s Citywide Blackout!

14067619_10153910983260847_4393044492123096638_nAug. 25, 2016 – Citywide Blackout

The whole show…

Earth Heart – plays a stellar live set to open the show. Following that, Natan, Matt, and Katie talk to Max about the band’s upcoming music video and recent release of their debut full-length, “Homesick.”

Breakfast Project – Kaedon Gray and Joe Mancini are back! The band was last on the show in December, and since then have been up to a lot, with new music and lots of shows. Now, we talk about the state of pop music and the importance of always staying unique and true to your own style.

John McIlveen – closes the show with a discussion about his latest release, “Hannahwhere.” A thriller with a strong message about child abuse, this book begins with a missing girl and the mysterious place called “Hannahwhere.”

Gail Gilbert- The Blackout Bootleg series continues with our coverage of the Massachusetts Independent Film Festival. Gail Gilbert’s short film, “Democracy in the Driver’s Seat” starts with a group of passengers on a bus working together for a common goal, and the shocking twist at the end.
